Compared to the SH88BK Octagonal Shaker, this Meinl Jingle Shaker comes upgraded with two pairs of steel jingles. This versatile percussion instrument is made of aluminium and has been filled with tiny pellets for tight and compact sound that comes backed up by a huge dynamic range. In addition, thanks to its eight-sided design, the JS88BK offers maximum grip and full control over your playing dynamics.

The Meinl JS88BK Jingle Shaker

It was top percussionist, Juan Carlos Melian who designed this brilliant Jingle Shaker for Meinl and decided that it needed two pairs of jingles on each end to guarantee ample sound-shaping options. This means that the JS88BK can be played with the jingles pointing upwards for a jingle-less sound, or you can rotate the shaker by 90° so that the jingles are aimed forwards and add an extra accent to every beat. If you want the jingles on the off-beats instead, simply turn the shaker until the jingles point backwards. This way, you can change up the groove at the flick of your wrist.
